Much of the time at this week’s county commissioner’s meeting was spent on preparations for the upcoming primary election.  The primary is currently set for May 29. At their meeting, commissioners, took action on a variety of steps necessary for the election, such as selecting election officials and locations for voting. They took those steps even though elections administrator Dorothy Kennedy says the date for the primary could change again.

“Our lawyers are letting the county know that everything could change again if another stay is put in place on the interim maps or the interim date that we have," Kennedy said.
