Chris Winn Files to Run Against Randy Neugebauer in 2014 Republican Primary

A former Lubbock County Republican Party chairman has filed to run for Congress.

Chris Winn filed last-minute to run as a Republican for the U.S. Representative for Texas’ 19th Congressional District.

The seat is currently held by incumbent Congressman Randy Neugebauer, who has held the seat since 2003.

Winn ran against Neugebauer in the 2012 Republican Primary for the seat. Neugebauer received 74 percent of the vote to  Winn’s 26 percent.

Dr. Donald R. May, a retired retinal surgeon, is also running against Neugebauer.

Winn told KFYO to expect a formal campaign announcement around January 1st, 2014.
