Bomb City, a film about the life and tragic murder of a 19-year-old Amarillo man, is set to premiere at the Dallas International Film Festival sometime between March 30th and April 9th.

Brian Deneke was a friend to many of my friends, and although I never had the privilege to meet him, his story has affected myself and many others deeply. I've written about his legacy before.

Sheldon Chick, a producer of Bomb City, told the Amarillo Globe News:

We’re really excited to have a chance to premiere, especially in Dallas where a lot of the people who worked on the film will get to see it, and hopefully the family and all the people who were involved in the process will get to see it. So Dallas was a great option for us and it’s such a big festival and a great opportunity to premiere the film.

To the creators of the film, and especially to Brian's family, it's my ardent wish that your film gets the attention it deserves. It's a story our divisive world needs to learn, maybe now more than ever.
