On Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Georgeanna Welch from the Asthma and Allergy Clinic of West Texas talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about an upcoming camp designed for kids with asthma.

The Zone is an all-day asthma health camp for kids 7 to 11 years old. Welch explained that the camp's primary purpose is to help educate kids on how to manage their asthma, from their medication to emergency situation, and to also show kids that they are many other kids who suffer from asthma, and that they are not alone. In addition to the educational sessions, the camp will also offer games, swimming and skating for the kids.

The camp will take place on Thursday, July 11th at Adventures USA on South Indiana. The camp is free of charge, but children must be registered before the day of the camp in order to attend. To register a child for the camp, call the Asthma and Allergy Clinic of West Texas at 806-742-0498.
