You Can Now Vote “Literally Anybody Else” For President!
Seriously, you can! It's all thanks to a Texas man who legally changed his name to Literally Anybody Else as he makes his journey to presidency. I'm not kidding: look at his X account!
Mr. Else is a 35-year-old military veteran who originally went by his birth name, Dustin Ebey, but decided to make some life changes in order to cast his name on the ballots this year.
You see, Literally wanted to provide an alternate to the current candidates for POTUS. He states in his website that we live in a time when "American politics has become more about the, 'fight' than about the future."
Else is currently attempting a write-in campaign in Texas where voters can manually write his name onto the ballot, but failed to meet the 113,000 signatures to make it happen.
Despite this setback, Literally is still planning on running in Tennessee where he did reach the required amount of signatures for a write-in.
How to legally change your name in Texas
I know you were thinking about it... no judgements here.
In Texas, you first have to file a formal petition for a name change through the district clerk's office. Here, you'll need to submit your fingerprint card and an application fee. You will also have to attend court hearings, depending on what county you live in.
Texas DPS will then take your information, including your fingerprint cards, and conduct a background check on you before sending the results to the court.
BOOM--you'll have your name changed legally within one day to 6 months...
