Xcel Energy Files for a One-Time Balancing of Fuel Charges for Texas Customers
Xcel Energy, through Southwestern Public Service, today made a one-time filing with the Texas Public Utility Commission to balance out fuel cost accounts with their Texas customers. Xcel’s residential and small commercial customers will see a small fuel cost surcharge added to their end of year bill. Meanwhile, Xcel’s industrial and large commercial customers will receive fuel cost refunds.
According to Xcel’s filing, an average residential customer that uses 1,000 kW hours per month would pay a $3.38 cent surcharge at the end of the year.
