A regional energy provider has been honored again for their relief work on the east coast.

Xcel Energy employees from Texas and New Mexico were honored today in the Texas House of Representatives for their work in New York after Hurricane Sandy in November and December.

House Resolution 301 was presented by Representative Walter Price of Amarillo to honor the employees for their work.

Xcel was honored last month by the Edison Electric Institute for helping restore power in New York after the Hurricane and in Ohio over the summer of 2012.

A total of 230 Xcel employees made the trip east to help in the power restoration.
