West Texas Resource Conservation and Development Area, Inc., a nonprofit corporation that provides various services to West Texas residents, appeared at this week’s Lubbock County Commissioner’s meeting.

During their presentation they explained several projects completed and in the works in the county. The corporation provides things such as clothing and software to area residents, and recently replaced three cesspools in the county with septic tanks. However, with state and federal budgets on rocky ground, services like these could diminish with slashes in funding.
