A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the South Plains, Texas Panhandle, and Big Country regions until 6 p.m. Saturday.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, a Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for much of the South Plains including Parmer, Yoakum, Stonewall, Childress, and Lubbock Counties.

The Winter Storm Warning will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Monday. KAMC Meteorologist Ron Roberts has forecasted the possibility of two to four inches of snow for the area late Saturday into Sunday.

City of Lubbock libraries will be open from noon until 6 p.m. on Saturday, and the Buddy Holly Center, Silent Wings Museum, and Garden and Arts Center will be open from noon until 5 p.m. Saturday.

The City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Community Centers will be closed on Saturday.
