Wal-Mart is in a battle with Amazon.com and it looks as though Wal-Mart is set to raise the bar by offering home delivery. For now there is only one test market located in San Jose, California, but if it's successful I see no reason why Wal-Mart wouldn't roll this plan out nation wide.

With the "Walmart To Go" system, you'd be able to order groceries, health and beauty products, and household supplies. Pretty much everything you would need as far as your grocery list is concerned.

So what do you think about the idea? Would you buy your groceries online?

I think it's a pretty cool idea and probably one that a lot of people would like. I don't know of anyone that really likes going to the grocery store. Dealing with long lines, parking issues, and annoying people isn't something that I look forward to every week. However, when buying certain foods, I think many would still like the option of seeing what their buying.

Meat, fruits, and vegetables are just a few items that consumers may not be willing to just order off the internet. Then again, if Wal-Mart delivers good items, you probably won't worry too much about it.

Personally, I'd like to see how this works. It would drive more competition and that's always a good thing. Just be sure you are home when the groceries are delivered.

What about you? Would you like to have a grocery delivery service? What are your thoughts? Let me know by commenting below.
