A man has been sentenced by a Waco court to 40 years for child sex trafficking.

Jerome Maurice Cole, of Killeen, plead guilty in November to sex trafficking of children.

In 2011 the 27-year-old ran a prostitution ring using computers and cell phones to recruit underage girls and advertise their sexual services.

Last May, police answered a call from a 16-year-old runaway who was in Cole’s home and rescued her and two other 16-year-olds girls.

According to the girls, two had been forced into prostitution and the third was in the process of being recruited.

Cole was arrested Aug. 15 when arriving to a sting where he believed he would pick up the third girl.
