Tickets for an upcoming concert will not be sold at United Supermarkets.

A press release says that tickets for Paul McCartney’s June 14th concert at the United Spirit Arena will not be sold at their stores, as tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

“Tickets for these high-demand events sell out in a matter of minutes,” said Kiris Burdis, center store business manager for The United Family. “In the past, we have had guests who line up at our stores and, in some instances, the first person in line was not even able to purchase a ticket.”

Burdis continued, saying “Because of the frustration this can cause for our guests and team members, we have chosen not to open our ticket operations for this event.”

McCartney is kicking off the U.S. leg of his “Out There” concert tour in Lubbock. He reached out to City of Lubbock officials, and requested that he perform a concert in the Hub City.

General public ticket sales begin on Friday, April 25th at 10 a.m. at many other Select-A-Seat outlets. You can view a list of those at www.selectaseatlubbock.com.
