United Supermarkets has honored three outstanding people involved with their organization.

The trio was recognized at the company’s eighth annual Leadership Awards Dinner last month.

Dale Pinkston, business manager for the grocery department, received the Store Support Center/Distribution Center Team Member of the Year award.

Cilvia Arguellez, deli-foodservice manager for the United Supermarkets location in Brownfield, has been named as the Team Member of the Year for the Lubbock Region.

Also, Scott Mullins, general manager of Llano Logistics, has been recognized with the Unite Award, which is to honor individuals who unselfishly work with and through others to ensure projects or decisions are made with the interest of United Supermarkets first.

Mullins was chosen for this year’s award for his dedication to his role as manager of the company’s supply chain and distribution centers, and was specifically cited for his efforts to keep Lubbock stores supplied with drinking water during Lubbock’s power outage last July.

United’s Leadership Awards have been presented annually since 2006. Recipients receive a one-of-a-kind award designed by members of the United marketing team, crafted by R.S. Owens Co., maker of the Academy Awards.
