United Supermarkets and Lubbock ISD Team Up for Supply Our Students Drive

Lubbock ISD and United Supermarkets will team together to help provide school supplies for some students in the district.

Donation barrels for the Supply Our Students drive will be available at all nine United Supermarkets, Market Street, and Amigos Locations in Lubbock through August 19^th.

Items requested for donation include No. 2 pencils, glue sticks, crayons, ballpoint pens, composition books, highlighters, index cards, and scissors.

Shoppers can also make a $1 donation at the checkout registers as well.

“We know that adequate school supplies can be a significant expense for many families in our community, and we are proud to be partnering with LISD to help ease the burden,” said Shelby Crews, community relations manager for United.

Donated supplies will be distributed at schools to students needing assistance. United also provided six LISD principals with gift cards to purchase supplies for their schools Wednesday morning.
