U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to Hold Farm Bill Meeting in Lubbock

The U.S. Agriculture Secretary will be in Lubbock this week for a town hall meeting.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will host a Town Hall Meeting, where he plans to discuss the need for the passage of a Food, Farm, and Jobs Bill on Friday, June 14^th.

The meeting will be held at the Museum of Texas Tech University’s Helen DeVitt Jones Sculpture Court at 3301 4^th Street in Lubbock.

The meeting will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and the doors will open at 9:15 a.m.

The event is free of charge, but space is limited and seats will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Due to a limited number of seats, attendees are encouraged to RSVP by email to Brenda.carlson@tx.usda.gov or by phone at 979-680-5213.

The Food, Farm, and Jobs Bill is passed every five years and sets policy on agriculture, nutrition, conservation, and forestry.
