Friday night, the South Plains Food Bank wrapped up its annual 'U Can Share' food drive.

This year's food drive was a "virtual drive", with the food bank only accepting cash donations due to COVID-19.

The food bank exceeded their goal for 2021 by raising $343,685. According to the SPFB, they will be able to provide over 1 million meals with the money raised.

"That’s a wrap! U Can Share 2021: We raised more than 1,000,000 meals for our community, and showed West Texas how much better we are together."

The 'U Can Share' food drive is the South Plains Food Bank's largest annual fundraiser and it is held each December.
