Two Covenant Doctors Named Top Doctors of 2011

Two Covenant Medical Group doctors have been named U.S. News Top Doctors of 2011.

James Harrell III M.D. and K.J. Oommen M.D. were selected for the honor through peer nominations. Dr. Harrell works in the Covenant Children’s Hospital, where he serves as the chief pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon. He is also a clinical associate professor of surgery and pediatrics at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Oommen serves in Covenant’s Epilepsy Unit as the director and neurologist specializing in epilepsy management. He is a distinguished professor of neurology at the TTUHSC School of Medicine.
