Two people were arrested late Sunday night after barricading themselves inside a West Lubbock residence.

The incident occurred around midnight in the 5700 block of 38th Street.

KAMC News reports officers were attempting to serve warrants on a male subject at the residence when the male and female barricaded themselves inside the house and refused police entry.

One of the officers was eventually able to convince the two inside to come out and they were promptly taken in to police custody.

Domingo Ray Rodriguez III (25) is being charged with driving while license is invalid, a parole violation and possession of a controlled substance. As of Sunday night, Rodriguez remained in the Lubbock County Jail.

Maegen Michele Gomez (28) was charged with hindering apprehension, interfering with public duties and possession of marijuana. Lubbock County Jail records show Gomez was released from jail by 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
