TTU Alumnus Sworn In As First Black Air Force Chief

On Tuesday, August 4th, Texas Tech University Alumnus Charles Q. Brown, Jr. was sworn in as the first Black Air Force Chief of Staff.
KAMC News reports that Brown graduated from Tech back in 1984 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and was the first commander of Pacific Air Forces prior to being nominated as Air Force Chief of Staff.
Brown was nominated by President Donald Trump back on March 2nd and was confirmed in the Senate at a 98-0 vote on June 9th, to which the president responded with this comment:
"I've never heard that before [...] You understand what that means: 98 to nothing. So that's an achievement."
