The city in the West Texas desert, Monahans saw a record-breaking temp of 119 degrees the same year Brazil won the World Cup, what a time.

The Rio Grande Village saw their record-high this day also reaching a brisk 119 degrees.

And cheating their way with two spots in this ranking, Monahans, TX takes the number one spot as well with a whopping 120 degrees on this day 30 years ago.

Taking it old school with this one. To make the the '30s even more depressing... Seymour saw their record-high temperature of 120 degrees, tying with the number one spot for hottest Texas Temperature ever recorded.
