On Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Tim Warren, one of the instructors for Project Appleseed, talked with Chad and Rex about the latest Project Appleseed event coming to town.

Project Appleseed is a weekend-long event that teaches its participants about rifle marksmanship while incorporating the history behind the American Revolutionary War. The next event will take place this weekend, April 21st and 22nd, at the New Deal Police Department. Warren said that Project Appleseed is a family-friendly event, and that women and children are encouraged to attend.

Ticket prices are $70 for the entire weekend. Women's tickets are $10, children's tickets are $5, and active military reserve, guard, peace officers, elected officials, disabled, and re-enactors in period dress can attend free of charge.
