Three Men Indicted for an Armed Robbery
Three Lubbock men were indicted yesterday (Oct. 24) for an armed robbery committed back in August.
The men in question include 39 year-old Christopher David Payne, 34 year-old Joshua Gilder, and 31 year-old Javier Rodriguez.
On August 28th, Lubbock police were called to the Highway 87 game room, just south of Lubbock. Payne and Gilder reportedly gained access to the game room by presenting badges and claiming to be police officers. Once inside, the pair stole more than $2,000 cash and other items. Rodriguez was an employee of the game room at the time of the robbery.
After the robbery, Rodriguez was questioned by police and reportedly admitted to colluding with Gilder and Payne to commit the robbery.
Gilder was later arrested on October 11th, while Payne was arrested on October 14th.
All three men remain in the Lubbock County Detention Center.
