The Unique, Fantastic Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts & Sciences [INTERVIEW]
Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Charlton Northington, General Manager of The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts & Sciences, joined guest host Paul R. Beane in the KFYO studio to talk about the world-class facility, the many reasons why it is such a fantastic venue and will be such an asset to the city of Lubbock.
Introducing the venue, Beane said, "Folks, it's remarkable. It is stunning. It is something that you're not accustomed to seeing in Lubbock, or Amarillo, or Midland-Odessa, nor Albuquerque, or Austin, or San Antonio, or Houston. I think it's better than the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, I really do."
Northington said,
One of the first events we had, there was a couple that walked into the building and the gentleman looked up and he said, "What planet ore we on?" to his wife...It is spectacular. I can still walk out on stage and just kind of tear up when you look back at the seats, and just the beauty of the building...It's on par with anything you'll find across the globe...It's truly one-of-a-kind.
