The High Plains Underground Water District is hosting their annual rainwater harvesting workshops in April and May.

The free workshops will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on April 11th, April 25th, and May 2nd.

On April 11th, a workshop will be held at the Mallet Event Center & Arena, located in Levelland at 2320 U.S. Highway 385.

On April 25th, a workshop will be held in Canyon, Texas, at the Palo Duro Room of the Cole Community Center, located at 300 North 16th Street.

And then on May 2nd, a workshop will take place at the HPWD main office, located at 2930 Avenue Q in Lubbock.

According to Education and Outreach Coordinator, Katherine Drury with the HPWD, each workshop will have information on larger capacity rainwater catchment systems. There will even be drawings made for 25 rainwater harvesting barrels that can hold 50 gallons.
