The 2017 Parade of Homes Coming to Lubbock
The West Texas Home Builders Association has announced plans for the 2017 Parade of Homes coming to Lubbock.
This year’s theme for the annual event is ‘Achieving the American Dream’.
Four housing developments featuring 31 state-of-the-art homes, from $200,000 to $2,000,000, will be showcased in this year’s 2017 Parade of Homes.
The four developments that will be featured are as follows: Foxridge (100th & Ave. U), Stonebridge Townhomes (102nd & Ave. U), Estates at Vintage (122nd & Quaker), and the Estates of Kelsey Park (139th & Quaker).
Homes will be available for touring from June 10th through June 25th, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00pm on Saturdays, and 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays.
In addition, guests can tour each subdivision as part of the Parade After Dark event, which will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the following dates and at the respective developments:
- Tuesday, June 13th – Foxridge at 98th& Ave. U
- Thursday, June 15th – Estates at Vintage at 122nd& Quaker Avenue
- Tuesday, June 20th – Estates of Kelsey Park at 139th & Quaker Avenue
Tickets for the event are $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 3-12 and free for children 2 and under.
Parade sponsors include Atmos Energy, AJ Media, FirstBank & Trust and PrimeWest Mortgage.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Lubbock Homes for Heroes, a charitable organization formed by the builders of the West Texas Home Builders Association to construct mortgage-free homes for local heroes.
Additionally, this year the WTHBA teamed up with CASA of the South Plains to promote their 12th annual “Casas for CASA” raffle fundraiser.
After touring the Parade of Homes, visitors can tour 10 beautifully crafted playhouses and doghouses constructed by the same builders as the larger homes. The playhouses will all be located outside of the Foxridge subdivision.
Raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Raffle tickets will be sold during the Parade of Homes daily, weather permitting.
The drawing will be held on Sunday, June 25th at 5:00 p.m. Attendance is not necessary to win.
