Texas Teenager Fatally Shoots Himself While Taking Selfie

The 19-year old from Houston accidentally shot himself in the neck while taking a picture of himself.

CNN affiliate KPRC reported that Deleon Alonso Smith was a day ahead of starting community college when the incident occurred. He had two young children.

Family members were obviously shocked by his death. Smith's cousin was in another room when the gun when off. The cousin told police they had found the gun earlier in the day.

The case remains under investigation at this time.
