Texas Tech Women’s Basketball Advances to Third Round of Tournament

The Texas Tech women’s basketball team is continuing on in their preseason play.

The Lady Raiders have advanced to the third round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament. The game will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the United Spirit Arena, as Tech takes on the University of San Diego.

Tech advanced to the third round of the WNIT for the second time in school history after beating Tulane 65-55 on Sunday. They first defeated Eastern Illinois 85-71 in the WNIT first round last week.

The first 1000 students to arrive at the United Spirit Arena’s southeast ticket window will receive a free ticket to the game. Others can purchase tickets for $4 and reserved seating tickets are $6. Tickets can be purchased at www.texastech.com/tickets or by calling 742-TECH.
