Texas Tech University has announced a plan to reorganize the Office of the Provost. Current Vice Provost Valerie Paton will move to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso next year. Paton has been awarded an American Council on Education Fellowship, which will be pursued at TTUHSC El Paso.

Peggy Miller has been promoted to the Vice Provost position to replace Paton. Miller's areas of responsibilities will include Texas Tech's off-campus facilities in the Hill Country, Waco and El Paso and the programs housed at those facilities.

The domino effect of staff changes also includes Dominick Casadonte. Casadonte will replace Miller as the interim dean of the Texas Tech Graduate School.

Texas Tech University interim President Lawrence Schovanec will begin a permanent search for a vice provost and Graduate School Dean later this fall.
