Texas Tech University Press to Hold Open House and Book Sale
A Texas Tech group will hold an open house and book sale next month.
The Texas Tech University Press will celebrate the Association of American University Press Week in their new headquarters.
The group will hold their open house and book sale at their new location on the 9th floor of the Media and Communication building, which was formerly the Business Administration building, located at the southeast corner of 15th Street and Flint Avenue.
The open house and book sale runs from Monday, November 12th through Friday, November 16th. It will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.
Visitors are invited to tour the press, visit with staff, enjoy refreshments, and take advantage of book purchases discounted from 25 percent to 75 percent.
Tours will take place following the dedication ceremony for the Media and Communication building at 5:30 p.m. on November 9th.
TTUP Director Robert Mandel will discuss “Getting it Published: Transforming Your Thesis into a Book” on Wednesday, November 14th from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in room 166 of the Media and Communication Building.
Also, Texas Tech Provost Robert V. Smith will sign copies of his new book “The Way of Oz: A Guide to Wisdom, Heart, and Courage,” on Thursday, November 15th from 3 to 5 p.m. in the TTUP reception area.
All events are free and open to the public.
