Texas Tech Softball Cracks the NCAA Tournament Field

The Red Raider Softball team has been ranked since early on in the 2019 season, but an 8-10 Big 12 record had them on the bubble between seeds come selection Sunday.

Texas Tech wouldn't be left in the cold, though. After going 1-1 in the Big 12 tournament before it got rained out, they got home in time to watch their name get called on the big screen.

The Red Raiders are going to Baton Rouge as the 2-seed.

The LSU Regional features the Tigers as the 1-seed, Louisiana Tech as the 3-seed and Monmouth as the 4-seed. Texas Tech will face LA Tech first on May 17th.

If Texas Tech makes it out of Baton Rouge, they'll face the winner of the Minnesota Regional, which consists of Minnesota, Georgia, Drake and North Dakota State.
