Texas Tech has dropped in the rankings according to the Associated Press after Saturday's loss to Arizona State in Tempe. Texas Tech fell to Arizona State 26-22 in a game where the offense struggled for most of the game under backup QB Will Hammond. While the loss surprised many and hurt the Red Raiders in the AP Poll, Texas Tech is still very much alive for the Big 12 title and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Texas Tech fell 7 spots on Sunday from #7 in the nation to #14. Texas Tech is now 6-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Texas Tech is in 4th place in the Big 12 with BYU as the only unbeaten team in the conference.
