Texas Tech University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources will host an event focusing on maintaining healthy lawns.

The July 21 event, Turfgrass Field Day, will include presentations on golf and athletic turf, plant growth regulators, pre-emerge herbicide, sodium removal from soils, irrigation audit demonstration and carbon sequestration. There will also be separate presentations for commercial and residential lawn care.

Turfgrass Field Day will take place at the Quaker Research Farm located at 200 N. Quaker Ave, which is operated by Texas Tech’s Department of Plant and Soil Sciences. The event is sponsored by the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences along with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension

Registration for the free half-day event will begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 21, immediately followed by presentations.
