We are just a couple of days away from Texas Tech hosting BYU at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock. And that also means we are just days away from ESPN's College Gameday broadcasting from Texas Tech.

If you plan on or would like to attend the live broadcast of College Gameday on the Texas Tech campus this Saturday, here's what all you need to know.

Where is College Gameday Setting Up at Texas Tech?

ESPN's College Gameday will be setup in the green area to the west of Jones AT&T Stadium. It's where the pumpjacks are now located. You will also see the staging and tents.

What Will The Weather Be Like?

It looks like it will be a beautiful day, but a chilly start to the day. Highs are expected to be in the low to mid 70's but early morning temperatures will be in the upper 30's lower 40's.

Can Students Attend Both Gameday and the Game?

Yes! Texas Tech will reserve student seating for the first 400 students in line to attend ESPN's College Gameday. Students who attend Gameday will get a special wristband for access through Gate 4 in the northwest corner. Access will begin at 10 a.m. when College Gameday transitions inside Jones AT&T Stadium and will end at 10:20 a.m. as Texas Tech will reserve student seating in the turf lawn behind the north end zone as well as in section 13.

What Time Is College Gameday and When Should I Arrive?

College Gameday airs from 8:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday but if you get there at 8:00 a.m., good luck getting close. We learned on Wednesday that ESPN will open the pit area, the area right behind the stage that is on tv most of the time, at 5:30 a.m. Students and fans will likely begin showing up before then.

How Do I Get Selected to Go Into The Pit?

Fans wishing to get into the pit should know that selection is done on a first come first serve basis. Those admitted should wear school colors. Most students should wear red as this game is a stripe-out game and students are supposed to wear red for the most part according to this map. Students getting into the pit should also have a numbered wristband.

What Items Are Prohibited in the Pit?

A lot of things are banned. Here's what Texas Tech says is banned according to ESPN's rules:

The following items are prohibited in the pit: bags (of any kind), food and drinks, pens, pencils, markers or dry erase boards and signs on sticks. Throwing objects is strictly prohibited in the pit. A number of sign regulations are required as well.

College Gameday Sign Rules

Yes, there are supposedly rules and regulations when it comes to one of the most beloved Gameday traditions on the show. Even though I think I've seen a lot these types of signs on past shows, here's what is banned according to ESPN

No vulgar signs, .com, .net, .org, political or religious signs are allowed. For fans entering the pit, signs cannot be on poles or oversized. All signs brought to Saturday's taping will be inspected before entry and must abide by College GameDay's sign policies or will be removed.

Where Do I Park for College Gameday?

This is the tricky one. If you are a student who lives on campus, just walk to the set. For ticket holders and those who have pre-purchased parking, here's what Texas Tech says.

All fans with pre-purchased parking can begin accessing lots on campus starting at 7 a.m. Saturday by using the printed parking passes issued by Texas Tech Athletics. Fans are reminded to please park in the assigned lot listed on the pass, and if the lot has a reserved space, please park in the space number listed. Cars not parked in the correct spot or cars impeding the spot next to them are subject to towing. Fans wishing to tailgate are reminded that tents cannot exceed 10x10 or the size of the designated space.

RV pass holders can access their parking location beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday evening and must exit by 10 a.m. on Sunday. Those with pre-purchased RV passes will receive separate information this week via email regarding staging due to the men’s basketball game Friday evening.

Fans without donor parking are encouraged to purchase parking in advance here for available lots.

If you want to attend just College Gameday, you'll have to find parking and walk or have someone drop you off.

Most of all, have fun and represent Texas Tech well.
