What would you do if you were a single mother of five and your house burned to the ground?

Proving once again that the generosity of Texans knows no limits, a Dallas school rallied together last week to take care of a mother and her five kids after they lost virtually everything in a house fire.

After hearing about the blaze, Sgt. Keith Atkinson, a teacher at Cary Middle School, sprang into action and got the community to come together and help the family.

Donations ranged from clothing and bedding to food and cash. As of last Monday, the family was still living in a garage. But today they are in a new home with six months rent pre-paid.
