Texas Railroad Commissioner Ryan Sitton joined The Chad Hasty Show on Monday to discuss his future political plans. Sitton told KFYO that he will be running for re-election to the Texas Railroad Commission and that he wants to travel across Texas to discuss the principles of the Republican Party and what it means to be a Republican.

Sitton was first elected to the Railroad Commission in 2014. In a press release earlier in the morning, Sitton touted Texas as the largest energy producer in the nation.

“Texas is the nation’s largest energy producer with the nation’s strongest economy,” Sitton said. “That’s no accident. We have built this record by producing energy that is affordable, reliable and as clean as possible. I pledge to continue using my business and industry experience working for Texans every single day at the Railroad Commission.”

During the interview on KFYO, Sitton shared that he thought Republicans had not done a great job sharing their story and Republican values aren't just the values of old white men. Sitton also said it's important to tell the Republican story going into 2020 and beyond.
