Another bad guy is off the streets in Texas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety recently announced the capture of Jacob Aaron Kessler, who had recently appeared on the state's Most Wanted Fugitives list. According to Texas DPS, Kessler is a violent, repeat sex offender. And now he has been captured.

Texas Sex Predator Captured in Houston

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Kessler, who is 41 years old, was taken into custody in Houston. The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force led the operation that eventually located and arrested Kessler. They were joined by multiple law enforcement agencies including the Houston and Pasadena Police Departments, Harris County Sheriff and Constable offices, Texas DPS, the Texas Highway Patrol. and other local authorities, including the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Department was involved because Kessler had been wanted since April of 2025 in Nacogdoches County.

Repeat Predator In Texas

According to Texas DPS, Kessler was convicted of sexual assault of a child in 2011 along with indecency with a child by sexual contact following "incidents with a 15-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl." Kessler was sentenced to nine years in confinement.

Kessler was wanted for reoffending. He had warrants out for his arrest for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault. You can read more about the capture of Jacob Aaron Kessler, here.
