Texas’ Most Popular Christmas Song Is Also One Of The Most Annoying In America
Just about everywhere you go these days you will hear Christmas music. Whether you are walking through clothing stores, grocery stores, hardware stores, or auto dealerships, there is a good chance they are playing Christmas tunes.
With Christmas coming soon, the folks at FinanceBuzz dug through some data to find out which Christmas song was the most popular in each state. According to FinanceBuzz, they used Google Trends to find the most popular song for Christmas. They also surveyed more than 1200 adults in the United States to see which Christmas song was the most annoying.
For Texas, the answers may surprise you.
The Most Popular Christmas Song in Texas
According to FinanceBuzz, for the second year, "Feliz Navidad" is the most popular Christmas song in Texas. It's also the most popular Christmas song in Florida. The most popular Christmas song in the United States? Jingle Bells which was originally written in 1850.
The Most Annoying Christmas Songs
These findings were not broken down state by state when it came to the most annoying Christmas song. And if I had to bet, I'd bet you already know which song was deemed most annoying in the United States.
Sorry Mariah, but the song "All I Want for Christmas is You" was the top most annoying song. In second place was "The Chipmunk Song", and in third place? "Feliz Navidad".
So "Feliz Navidad" is loved in Texas (and Florida), but the rest of the nation thinks the song is annoying. I guess you can't make everyone happy.
