A traffic stop conducted by a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper on I-40 resulted in the seizure of more than 33 pounds of cocaine valued at more than $387,000.

At around noon on Tuesday, December 16, a DPS officer pulled over a 2001 BMW X5 headed eastbound on I-40 near Conway in Caron County.

Texas DPS reports that during the stop, the trooper discovered 15 bundles of cocaine hidden inside a false floor panel.

Occupants Dennisha Lontay Gunn, 22, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Michael A. Scarlett, 26, of Lawrenceville, Georia, were both arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Gunn and Scarlett were both booked into the Carson County Jail.
