Texas Author Takes BookTok by Storm with Viral Romance Novels

If you're a bookwork like me, then you are probably familiar with BookTok. It is a special place on TikTok dedicated to book recommendations, reactions, and hyping up people's favorite authors.

If you aren’t familiar with that side of TikTok, but love books, I highly suggest checking it out. As you scroll through the BookTok hashtag you will find hundreds of videos talking about some of the best romance and young adult novels that are currently available. Out of all of the authors included in these videos, there is one that you will find nearly everyone recommending – Colleen Hoover.

Hoover was born in Sulpher Springs, Texas, and still resides in the Lone Star state with her husband. She’s published 24 novels in the young adult fiction and romance genres, and even started her own book subscription service, The Bookworm Box, where you receive autographed books from a variety of authors and the proceeds go to charity. The Bookwork Box is also a specialty bookstore located in Hoover’s hometown, Sulpher Springs.

After seeing all the hype around Hoover’s books on TikTok, especially It Ends With Us, Verity, and Ugly Love, I had to check them out. I picked up It Ends With Us, and just after reading the first chapter, I’m hooked. I am a big fan of books that make you laugh, cry, and not want to put the book down, and this one seems promising.
