January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and on the Friday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joined the broadcast by telephone to talk about his office's recent creation of The Human Trafficking Trans-National Organized Crime department (HTTOC).

The HTTOC office has been designed to educate and create awareness of, investigate and prosecute human trafficking crimes.

When asked by Hasty about the size of the human trafficking problem in Texas, Paxton responded: "I think it's a lot bigger than most people realize. It's actually an issue that most people are not aware of." Paxton said. "Houston's the number one city in America for human trafficking."

Paxton and Hasty also discussed the recent open carry legislation, which went into effect on January 1, 2016, and what issues have arisen thus far.
