Teenage Pedestrian Killed in Hale County Car Accident

A teenage pedestrian was killed in a car accident on Monday, April 7, 2020, in Hale County. Texas DPS reports the accident occurred on Farm-to-Market Road 400 at about 6:30 a.m.

Crash investigators report 18-year-old Alvaro Cedillo was walking on the south side of FM 400, just west of Lancaster Street, and was hit by a car as he tried to cross to the north side of the road.

Cedillo was taken by EMS to Covenant Hospital in Plainview where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the car that hit him was not reported to be injured.
