Andrew Farley is an associate professor at Texas Tech, a local pastor and now a best-selling author of a controversial book called God Without Religion. According to the AJ, Farley  said Christians need no spiritual relationship with the Old Testament, including the Ten Commandments.  On KFYO, he explained…

“Essentially it shows us a standard we can’t meet, and then when we see that standard, we see our need for Jesus," Farley said.

In the AJ, Farley seemed to take issue with tithing.

“I believe the  New Testament says give freely from the heart, not under pressure," he said on KFYO.

When asked what denomination his church most closely resembles, he said, “Baptist…essentially what a Baptist person believes…is exactly what I’m saying in 'God Without Religion.' ”
