City of Lubbock Code Enforcement Officers will be in the Bayless - Atkins neighborhood on Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. writing citations for violations.
"I think when it's all said and done, the citizens tower project will be something that we'll look back and say it was a good investment. My job is the execute on that. I wasn't there when that decision was made. Our job is to bring it in on time and on budget and that's what we're going to do," Pope said.
The Lubbock City Council approved the First Reading of a zoning change which would allow for new development in the Guadalupe neighborhood. The council also approved part of the process to call a special election in May.
The Code Administration Section of the Lubbock Police Department will set up and conduct a field exercise in the Harwell neighborhood this Thursday to identify violations.
