The two organizations have partnered to distribute yard signs which will show support for local law enforcement. They can be picked up at the Chamber offices starting Monday, July 13
Griffith was asked if the city council, in any way, would have any sort of lowering of the funding for the police department, to which he strongly stated, "Absolutely not. Not even a question...It's not even a topic in my opinion."
The event was organized by The 100 Black Men of West Texas. Lubbock Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope and Police Chief Floyd Mitchell were among those who spoke to the crowd, with Mayor Pope speaking about a message of unity and peaceful protests.
