Tuesday, President Biden signed an Omnibus funding bill into law which expands Interstate 27 in Texas and Oklahoma as part of the Ports-to-Plains Corridor. IH-27 will expand to Dumas, Midland, San Angelo and Laredo

The bipartisan bill was authored by Congressman Jodey Arrington (R- Lubbock) and Congressman Henry Cuellar (D- Laredo). It would extend I-27 north to Denver and south to Laredo as part of Ports-to-Plains

TxDOT and the Texas Transportation Commission this morning approved more than $230 million dollars in funding for Ports-to-Plains Corridor construction projects.  The funding is among $1.4 billion dollars in transportation construction funded by Proposition 12 bonds.
