On Monday, August 25, police responded to calls of a domestic dispute at a house on the 2800 block of Cornell after a series of events 51-year-old Guadalupe Esquivel was shot and killed by police.
Robbery Suspect Arrested
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, Detective Bryan DuBois responded to a burglary-in-progress call in the 4100 block of 109th Street. DuBois pulled over a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood and discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant and had many stolen items in the vehicle. Jose Manuel Calderon, 19, was arrested and booked into the Lubbock County Jail.
