Lubbock media legend, Paul R. Beane, ended a broadcast career spanning almost 60 years on Wednesday (April 30, 2014).  Beane's farewell edition of The Way I See It aired at 1:30p during Rush Limbaugh on News/Talk 790, KFYO. Beane's swan song in Lubbock radio started just over four years ago after an idea had been hatched in a meeting at the Fox & Hound with Beane, Robert Pratt and Rob Snyder.

On the Wednesday edition of Lubbock's First News, our KFYO's Tom Collins showed support for co-host Laura Mac and her fight against cancer by shaving his head live on the air.

Week eight of the expert pick em will see some big match ups as Texas Tech will be on the road taking on Kansas State, the Dallas Cowboys play host to the NY Giants and plenty of great HS football games.
