Texas has some mighty big critters roaming, flying and swimming around in it. Crawling too, as well as slithering. One of the most deadly giants, a monster rattler, fortunately, isn't real.
Another kangaroo went missing in Texas, but luckily, this one was found and reunited with its owner. Texas has the most pet kangaroos out of any state in the country due to the legality of owning exotic pets in Texas and the climate and landscape similar to Australia.
Drugs are not the only thing being smuggled over the Texas border. The illegal pet trade is also booming as baby Mexican Spider Monkeys are taken from their natural habitat and smuggled into the Lone Star State.
Some people aren’t satisfied with the average animals you find in most pet stores. They want more thrill, a challenge, or to simply ease a sense of curiosity and passion surrounding a certain animal, leading them down the path of exotic pets.
If you aren’t a dog owner, then you likely don’t understand why this is extra obnoxious. Having a dog during firework season is like having a ball of anxiety attached to you that either shakes so hard your teeth chatter, yells so loud you can’t hear yourself think, or breaks your fence and runs away.
