United Supermarkets parent company, Albertsons, starts trading again Friday at the New York Stock Exchange. Their IPO is selling 50 million shares at $16 per share. Albertsons purchased the Lubbock-based United Supermarkets in 2013.
Eddie Owens from United Supermarkets appeared on the Tuesday edition of Lubbock's First News to discuss the newest store openings with The United Family and United taking over the operation of four Albertsons stores.
