Support a Lubbock Owned Restaurant by Trying Their Delicious Food
Living in Texas, especially Lubbock, means that almost everyone loves Mexican, or Tex-Mex, food because it hits a special place in our souls. One locally owned Lubbock restaurant hits all the right spots when it comes to food but has taken a few hits themselves.
Rachael's Restaurant, located near 82nd Street and Indiana Avenue in Lubbock, recently posted to social media letting their beloved and loyal customers know their recent hardships. With all the intense heat we have had this Summer Rachael's was a victim to that heat not once but twice when their air conditioning unit completely died and needed repairs. After those repairs were made is when the kitchen air conditioning unit decided to follow the first a/c units example and give a quits soon after.
Along with those minor setRachael's Restaurant, Facebook backs kitchen equipment needed to get repairs done so they could keep operating the entire business at full capacity but then came some cuts. Rachael's Restaurant had to start cutting back on employees hours due to the unusually slow Summer they are experiencing, more than usual, this year.
Jessica Casias, the front lead server at Rachael's Restaurant, does suggests that everyone come try their food if they are in need of a small snack or drink to get them fueled and ready to keep going through the day. Casias also gave us some insight into some of their popular dishes which do include a lot of their breakfast items, such as their burritos, but also their chicken fried steak which is a foodies dream.
Rachael herself (yes, there is an actual Rachael) is described has having a huge heart who loves when people come and enjoy her food because it's a passion of hers and her husbands. Rachael's Restaurant is comprised of a few family members and it shows that they have a few things in common such as their hardworking spirits and love of serving the community as one of the few locally owned restaurants that also has some great Mexican food options, when you need some spice in your routine, in South Lubbock.
